Kasongan village, near
Yogyakarta, is known for the traditional clay potteries. In there, you would see that most
of the people are clay artisans, with their natural artistic talent. Formerly, they only used the very traditional method of production. |

| Later, better ones are
implemented, but still very much involving hand skills. You still could see the clay
modelled by hand, fired, decorated, and processed further, until it becomes a fine quality
product. Many kinds of goods are produced, which most are household ones like moneyboxes, vases, animal figures, and many others. Basically, there are two kinds of products, painted and unpainted. Both are attracting. The painted one looks very nice with the colorful textures and patterns, while decorative sculptures beautifully ornaments the unpainted ones. Which one to choose...? The decision is all yours......
