A set of gamelan,
consists of a number of musical instruments. With the number of intruments, there are also
a number of players to play the complete set of gamelan. These players are called niyaga,
and usually they are also accompanied by female singers called pesindhen. Gamelan instruments are made using time honoured method
and craftmanship. They came in many shapes and sizes of their dimensions, number of keys,
types of resonators, and also the beaters. But however, there are standards of tones in
the gamelan...... It certainly needs extra patience to tune those traditional instruments
so that they could be well-played together in harmony.
