BENGAWAN SOLO FAIR
Bengawan Solo Fair is an annual traditional festival, held since 1970. Interesting
highlights held during the Bengawan Solo Fair, includes :
- Art Festival
Starting from October 30 to November 13, 1999.
Bengawan Solo Fair is held by voluntary
organization from and for Solo’s tourism community comprised of government
institutions and the Royal family of Kraton Surakarta.
BOROBUDUR TRAVEL MART
General Background
- Borobudur Travel Mart ’99 will be held on
November 11-13, 1999 at Sahid Raya Hotel, Solo, as a part of Bengawan Solo Fair.
- The mission of Borobudur Travel Mart ‘99 will
be to refresh the travellers about Solo’s role as the gateway of Central Java, in
order to attract buyers with many potential products and tourism sites.
- The Borobudur Travel Mart program will consist of
TRAVEX (Travel Exchange) and Tourism Forum.
- All TRAVEX sellers will be Indonesia travel
professionals from Solo & Beyond, with sellers drawn selectively from major inbound
markets.
Passport & Visa Requirements
- Most major countries are entitled to a 2 month
visa on arrival in Indonesia. Please consult the nearest Indonesian Embassy to confirm
your country’s passport qualifies for this facility.
- It is essential to make sure that your passport
has 6 months validity from the date of your intended arrival in Indonesia. Passports
expiring before 6 months are generally refused visas by immigration officials.
Health Notice
- Indonesia has no vaccination requirements for
visitors. Travellers with any specific health concern should, of course, consult their
personal physician before undertaking overseas trip.
