Day
1 : Arrival
Starting the tour package (upon arrival or after checking-out from previous hotel), you
will be driven to Tosari village, near the huge caldera of Bromo-Tengger National Park.
The caldera measures 10 kilometres in diameter, and at the centre, rises the perfect cones
of Mt. Bromo and Mt. Batok volcanoes.Day
2 : The Spectacular Sunrise
The day begins with an early morning wake-up call. After hot drinks and wearing warm
clothes, you will leave for Mount Penanjakan to experience an unforgettable sunrise.
Standing in the frigid night air in pitch
darkness with twinkling stars overhead, a fantastic view of the Tengger volcanic basin
with the crater of Mt. Bromo and the perfect cone of Mt. Batok gradually appears before
you. Then your attention is attracted by a far distant glint gradually becoming a glare
and all of a sudden it becomes a brilliant ray announcing the start of a new day.
Drive down into the caldera crossing over the
"sea of sand" to the base of Mt. Bromo, then climb up through the 150 meters
concrete stairway to see another spectacular view, the crater of Mt. Bromo.
Return back to your hotel for breakfast and some
well-earned rest. Then you will be taken to your next destination, either back to
Surabaya, or continue to Bali. (L) |
